Otterbox Buys LifeProof

Fort Collins-based protective case maker OtterBox has acquired another, electronics accessory maker--LifeProof, the firm said Wednesday. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. LifeProof (TreeFrog Development Inc.) was based in San Diego, California, and was founded in 2009. OtterBox said it has added approximately 250 employees from the acquisition, and that LifeProof's employees will remain in San Diego. OtterBox will integrate LifeProof's products into its product line over time.
