Confio Sees Growth
Boulder-based Confio Software, which develops database performance management software, says it is seeing strong growth in its business and revenues. According to the company Wednesday, it had 69 percent, year-over-year revenue growth in 2012, due to what it says is "strong adoption" by development and DBA teams. The firm did not disclose any actual financials.
Confio said that part of the shift is the move to virtual and cloud infrastructure by IT departments, as well as the need by its customers for rapidly deploying and supporting new applications. Confio's products are used to improve database performance on Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2 and SAP Sybase, particularly running on VMware virtual servers. The firm is headed by Matt Larson.
