TechStars Expands Overseas, Opens London Program

TechStars, the startup accelerator program which was started in Boulder, is in the midst of a huge expansion--including its first location outside the United States, which was announced today. According to TechStars, it has launched a brand new program, TechStars London, which will offer up the firm's acceleration model overseas.

TechStars said the new program will be managed by Jon Bradford, who was previously heading up accelerator The Difference Engine in Newcastle, and also built Springboard, a startup effort in London. TechStars has been rapidly growing in the past few months, having just announced Kaplan EdTech, an educational acceleration program in New York City yesterday; a new program in Chicago announced earlier in the month; and a new Nike-themed accelerator in Portland announced in December.
