LineRate Systems Acquired By F5 Networks

Louisville, Colorado-based Linerate Systems, which develops software defined networking technology, has been acquired by F5 Networks, the developer of Internet traffic shaping appliances. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. F5 said the buy will give it access to LineRate's technology, intellectual property, and engineering talent. Linerate was headed by Steve Georgis, and had been founded by John Giacomoni and Manish Vachharajani.
