TechStars Bolsters Team With Mark Solon, Luke Beatty

Boulder-based startup accelerator TechStars has significantly bolstered its team this week, with two major additions. The accelerator announced that Mark Solon, most recently at Highway 12 Ventures, has joined TechStars as a General Partner, and will focus on capital formation for Techstars. Separately, TechStars said that Luke Beatty, the founder of Associated Content (which he sold to Yahoo in 2010), and a current mentor at TechStars has become a Managing Director for its Boulder program. The moves are not suprising; Solon has been a mentor at TechStars and has helped fund a number of companies out of the accelerator. Solon and his partners also had announced earlier this year that they would not be raising another fund. Beatty also has been involved as a mentor at TechStars.
