Go Daddy Signs Big Ad Agency For 2013 Super Bowl

Go Daddy, the provider of domain name registration and web hosting and related services, said today that it has turned to a big ad agency, Deutsch NY, to produce its 2013 Super Bowl ads. The Scottsdale, Arizona firm said that this will be the first time it has turned to an ad agency for help on its advertising efforts. Go Daddy has been investing in its Super Bowl ads since 2005, initially attracting attention for its controversial, sexy and suggestive ads. The firm has mostly toned down its ads over the years. Go Daddy did not say how much it will be spending for the new ads from Deutsch NY. Go Daddy's ad spend for the Super Bowl is larger than most funding rounds for local startups; in 2012, advertisers reportedly were spending an average of $3.5M for running those 30-second spots, not including the expense of filming and creating those ads.
