Big Data Firm Opens Denver Office
A developer of "big data" technology said today that it has set up an office in Denver, in an effort to tap into the high tech talent in Colorado. PIXIA Corp., which is headquartered in Virginia, said it will be opening up an office in Denver specifically looking to attract geospatial experienced software engineers. PIXIA's flagship software is HiPER LOOK, which is used to catalog, organize and share large volumes of geospatial data; the firm serves defense and other U.S. security-related customers. The Denver area is home to a significant number of geographical information system (GIS), satellite imaging, and related companies.
