Ramtron Gets New Offer From Cypress, Gives Okay On Acquisition
Colorado Springs-based memory maker Ramtron has received a new, higher offer from Cypress Semiconductor for the company. Cypress offered up $3.10 per share for Ramtron, which values Ramtron at about $109.8M. Ramtron's board has voted unanimously for the new offer, which is a significant increase from the $2.48 per share that Cypress had offered initially in June for the company. Cypress said it has extended its tender offer to October 9th.
