BioFire Diagnostics Lands $25M For Molecular Diagnostics Tools
Salt Lake City-based BioFire Diagnostics, a developer of molecular diagnostics tools, said today that it has raised $25M in a financing round, from the Athyrium Opportunities Fund. The firm said the funding will go towards accelerating commercialization of its platform. BioFire Diagnostics--which was previously known as Idaho Technology--is developing a system used for testing for viruses and bacteria. The firm said it is currently working on a blood culture ID panel, a gastrointestinal panel, and a meningitis panel. The firm is headed by Kirk Ririe. More information »
