NewsGator Updates Social Sites

The latest release of Social Sites, the social networking software developed by Denver-based NewsGator for Microsoft's SharePoint portal software, is all about user interface, the company said today. The firm said the biggest update to its software is its new Lookout UI, a new, easy-to-use interface which lets users pick what notifications, recommendations, people, communities, and subjects users want to see. The updated software not only includes a new UI, but also no integrates email, new Windows 8 support, and more. NewsGator's Social Sites 3.0 product works with both SharePoint 2010 or the new, SharePoint 2013 software.
