Freewave Takes On UAV Communications

Boulder-based FreeWave Technologies, the developer of spread spectrum, data radios, has its eyes on the unmanned-aerial vehicle (UAV) and defense market, with a new, encrypted, wireless radio product. FreeWave said its Spartan Series of wireless radios is aimed at providing highly secure, communications links to government and defense applications. The firm said the new product is particularly well suited to command control of unmanned systems.
