Denver's JumpStart Biz Plan Deadline Draws Closer

The deadline for competition that looks to award $50,000 and one year of office space to a local small business in Denver is creeping closer. The City and County of Denver announced its JumpStart Biz Plan Award in July, and has set its deadline as September 14, 2012. The competition--which says it will accept up to 150 entries for the award-- is looking for the "best and brightest ideas" in small business, open to start-ups and other local businesses with up to 25 employees, who have been operating up to five years. The competition will also award a number of other services--legal counsel, tax and accounting, marketing, and social media--in addition to the $50,000 in cash plus office space.
