Gnip Further Slices, Dices Twitter Stream
Boulder-based Gnip, the social data information provider which allows developers to sort through social streams such as Twitter, Tumblr, and other sites, told its developers Wednesday that it has added a few more tools to its toolchest for sorting through Twitter data. The company, which is headed by Jud Valeski, said that users can now filter streams based on mentions of country codes, locations of users, time zone, language, number of followers, and other items. Gnip's tools are being used by developers who do not want to digest the massive amounts of data available from Twitter, and makes it easier for them to access that information on a broader scale. Gnip is venture backed by Foundry Group, First Round Capital and SoftTech VC.
