Avnet Buys Israeli Electronic Components Firm

Phoenix-based Avnet, the electronics distributor, has made another acquisition, this time of an Israeli electronics components distribution business. Avnet said it has acquired the operating assets of the electronic components distribution business of C.R.G. Electronics Ltd. (CRG), which distributes PC product and electronics components to the Israeli electronics industry. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, however, Avnet said that the electronic components business of CRG had revenues of approximately $23M for the calendar year 2011. CRG becomes part of Avnet Israel.
