Go Daddy Targets Expansion In India
What's the next market for Scottsdale, Arizona-based GoDaddy? Apparently, India. Go Daddy said Tuesday that it has identified India as a "priority market" for expansion for the company, to support its growth plans. The firm, which is known for its domain name registration and related services, said it has appointed Rajiv Sodhi as Managing Director of Go Daddy India to head up the expansion, with an office near New Delhi, India. Go Daddy even said it will be hiring a team, and ramping up investments in people, assets, and resources in the country. Sodhi joins from Microsoft. The domain registration and hosting provider said that the firm's investment last year from KKR, Silver Lake and TCV was designed specifically for international expansion.
