Foundry Group's Latest Investment: A Batch of Brew

What's the latest investment from Boulder based venture capital firm Foundry Group? No, it's not a web startup, fitness device, or robotics firm: it's a batch of beer. Foundry released its "Liquidation Preference Spring Equinox Ale" Friday, complete with a video of Matt Galligan (formerly of TechStars and SimpleGeo) brewing up the beer. Foundry said the brew will go to its LPs, portfolio company founders, and CEOs. The firm--well known for its IT and web investments--joked that it was the venture firm's "first foray into the world of biotech".
