Parchment Partners With Hobsons

Scottsdale, Arizona-based Parchment, the venture backed provider of high school transcript and students records services, has tied with Hobsons, which operates the Naviance electronic college application service. According to the two companies, the move will allow students to send application forms, recommendations, and transcripts electronically through Parchment's Docufide service, to more than 1700 colleges and universities. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Hobson develops Naviance eDocs, a tool which helps school to prepare and send college applications documents electronically. Parchment, headed by educational software vet Matt Pittinsky, helps schools electronically deliver their transcripts to colleges.
