Maxwell Technologies Expands in Arizona
Maxwell Technologies, a developer of ultracapacitors based in California, said yesterday that it has set up a new facility in Peoria, Arizona, which will manufacture electrodes for the firm's ultracapacitor products. The firm said the new, 123,000 square-foot facility was leased to support increased demand for its products. Maxwell's products are used in hybrid and electric public transit vehicles for braking energy recuperation and torque assist. The firm did not say how many it expects to employ in the new plant.
