uGenius Gets Investment From NCR

Sandy, Utah-based uGenius, the developer of video-based ATM machines, has scored a strategic investment from NCR Corporation, NCR said this morning. Size of the investment was not disclosed. NCR said it has taken a minority stake in uGenius, who it has been working together to develop an ATM which allows customers to talk with a live, remote teller. NCR is a major provider of point of sale and automatic teller machines. NCR said its is using uGenius' technology in its APTRA Interactive Teller product. A regulatory filing indicates the round was worth $1.5M. More information »
