ZeaChem Gets $232.5M Loan Guarantee For Biorefinery
Lakewood, Colorado-based ZeaChem, the developer of biorefineries to convert biomass into renewable fuels and chemicals, has gained a $232.5 million loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, according to the company. The firm said the loan will go towards constructing its first, commercial-scale cellulosic biorefinery, which uses woody biomass and agricultural residues to create bioefuels. Zeachem's factory is being located in Boardman, Oregon.
