Offsite Backup Solutions Acquired By j2 Global

Phoenix-based Offsite Backup Solutions, LLC, an operator of an online, backup service, has been acquired by j2 Global, j2 said this morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. j2 Global said it will use the acquisition to launch its own online backup service in the United States. j2 has been providing online backup services in Europe via its own brand, KeepItSafe. j2 Global said it acquired "substantially all of the assets" of Offsite Backup, but did not say how the buy affects Offsite Backup's operations in Phoenix.
