Lendio Dangles $2500 Scholarship For Students

Salt Lake City-based Lendio, the online service headed by Block Blake which helps small business owners connect with sources of financing, said today it has launched a new student scholarship. The firm said it will offer up $2,500 to student entrpreneurs, through the Lendio Brock Blake Student Entrepreneur of the Year scholarship. Lendio is venture backed by Highway 12 Ventures and Tribeca Venture Partners. Lendio said the yearly award deadline is July 1st, and requires students to submit a 500 to 1,000 word essay around why a student wants to be an entrepreneur.
