First Solar Loses Exec

Tempe, Arizona-based solar module manufacturer First Solar reported late Tuesday that Jens Meyerhoff, President of the firm's Utility Systems Business Group (USBG), will leave the firm effective September 30th. Reason for the departure was not given, however, Meyerhoff said in a statement that the move would allow him to "step back and self-reflect before deciding my next step in life." Meyerhoff has been at First Solar since May of 2006, when he joined as CFO; he held that role through First Solar's IPO, and transitioned last year to President of First Solar's Utility Systems Business Group. Meyerhoff will be replaced by current SVP of Utility System Business Sales, James Brown.
