Occipital Confirms $7M Investment

Boulder-based Occipital, the developer of its mobile, panoramic imaging tools as well as computer vision technology, said this morning that it has raised $7M in a Series A funding round. The round was led by the Foundry Group. As part of the funding, the firm said it has added Foundry's Jason Mendelson and Brad Feld to its board, along with Manu Kumar of K9 Ventures and Gary Bradski of Willow Garage. The firm said its goal is to use "computer vision to make real world environments computationally interactive".
