inContact Gets Investment From Siemens
Salt Lake City-based inContact, the developer of call center software and optimization tools, said today that it has scored a strategic investment from Siemens Enterprise Communications. The investment in inContact--which is public--came as part of a worldwide distribution agreement with Siemens. The equity investment includes $24M in restricted common stock. The deal also includes a revenue deal, where Siemens will pay a minimum of $15M of net software revenue to inContact over a 2-year time frame, with $5M in 2012 and $10M in 2013. Siemens will become the exclusive master distributor of inContact's software in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, selling the product as "OpenScape Cloud Contact Center".
