SpectraLogic Wins NCSA
Boulder, Colorado-based data storage and tape library provider Spectra Logic reported today that it has won a contract with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) The firm, which did not disclose the financial details of the contract, said that the NCSA has selected one of its Spectra T-Finity tape libraries, configured for eight petabytes of archive. The win came via a request for proposal (RFP) for the high performance computing site. The NCSA is based at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
