NexGen Storage Secures Funding
Louisville, Colorado-based NexGen Storage, a new startup headed by former LeftHand Networks' founders John Spiers and Kelly Long, said this morning that it has raised a Series A round of financing. Size of the financing round was not disclosed. The round was led by Grotech Ventures, and also included Access Venture Partners. NexGen Storage said the funding will go towards its product and recruiting talent. NexGen said it is using sold state storage technology to develop a new storage architecture, which it says will deliver 10 to 20 times the performance of traditional, high performance SAN systems.
