Standing Cloud Gets $3M

Boulder-based Standing Cloud, a provider of a cloud-based, application hosting service, said today that it has raised $3M in a Series B financing. According to Standing Cloud, the round came from Avalon Ventures, and also included prior investor the Foundry Group. As part of the funding, Avalon's Rich Levandov joins the company's board. Standing Cloud is headed by Dave Jilk. Jilk was previously an associate at Softbank/Mobius Ventures, and was a co-founder of Feld Technologies. Both Brad Feld of Foundry Group and Todd Vernon of Lijit also sit on Standing Cloud's board of directors.
