Dot Hill Boosts Patent Portfolio
Longmont, Colorado-based RAID storage developer Dot Hill Systems reports today that it has snagged another three patents, bringing it to a total of 75 patents from the United States Patent and Trademark office. Dot Hills' new patents include U.S. patent 7,809,886 - covering super capacitors use for protecting against data loss when power is lost. U.S. patent 7,818,436 for management of storage systems from multiple users; and U.S. patent 7,793,145 which covers management of host-connection cabling by administrators. Two of the patents were issued in October, the other in September.
