7 Degrees Raises $6.8M

Salt Lake City-based 7 Degrees, developer of business network mapping tool PeopleMaps, said today that it has raised $6.8M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Rho Ventures, vSpring Capital, and Parkview Ventures. As part of the funding, Patrick Wack of Rho Ventures joins the company's board. 7Degrees, which is headed by Tim Sheehan, said the funding will go towards building outs its Universal Social Graph platform and to grow its PeopleMaps service. 7 Degrees' PeopleMaps service allows sales people, recruiters, job seekers, and others to find and map their relationships to others, to better find warm introductions to others.
