Micron Wins Hitachi-LG Data Storage

Boise, Idaho-based Micron Technology reports today that it has scored a design win with Hitachi-LG Data Storage (HLDS). Micron said Hitachi-LG is usin the firm's 25-nanometer NAND flash memory, for its hybrid optical disk drive. Micron did not say what kinds of shipment volumes it expects from the design win. The HLDS Hybrid Drive is targeted at "thin and light" notebooks.
