Inovonics Gets Patent
Louisville, Colorado-based Inovonics, a developer of wireless sensor networks, reported Thursday that it has received a U.S. Patent. According to the firm, the patent, number 7,746,804, covers its "directed message" technology which it uses to ensure reliable, two-way intelligent wireless communications. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office reports that the patent was actually issued back in June of this year, and names Neal Shurmantine, Daryl Burkhard, Steven T. Dunbar, Donald J. Hume, Nathan Koonce, Steve Koonce, and Preston Pierce as inventors. Inovonics said the patent is used as part of self-configuring its Echostream wireless network technology. The patent was filed back in September of 2006, and was filed with assistance of legal firm Caesar, Rivise, Bernstein, Cohen & Pokotilow, Ltd.
