Microchip: 1 Million Development Tools Shipped

Chandler, Arizona-based semiconductor developer Microchip Technology announced today that it has sold its one millionth development tool. The firm, which develops micro-controllers, analog, and other circuits, and said the tool was sold to Price Electronics in Winnipeg, Canada. The firm's tools are used to develop products using Microchip's various micro-controllers and other devices. Microchip said the shipment reinforces the industry acceptance of its tools for embedded design.
