Southwest Windpower Buys Deerpath Energy

Flagstaff, Arizona-based Southwest Windpower, a designer and distributor of small wind turbines for the energy generation market, said today that it has acquired Deerpath Energy, a venture backed provider of site analysis and deployment for small wind projects. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Deerpath is based in Marblehead, Mass., and was venture backed by Altira Group, Rockport Capital, Chevron Technology Partners, and Natural Gas Partners.
