Avnet Buys Latin American Distributor

Phoenix-based Avnet said today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Tallard Technologies companies, a distributor of products to Latin America. Tallard is part of Itautec S.A. - Grupo Itautec. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Tallard is based in Miami, Flordia, and distributes servers, software, peripherals, and other products throughout Latin America. Avnet said that Tallard had revenues of approximately $250M in calendar year 2009.
