Level 3 Wins Spanish TV Broadcaster

Broomfield, Colorado-based telecom provider Level 3 Communications reports that the firm has been selected by Spnaish television broadcaster Telecinco. According to Level 3, it will provide content delivery network (CDN) services for HD live and on-demand streaming of content for the broadcaster. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Level 3 said its CDN services are being used in conjunction with Microsoft Silverlight and Microsoft IIS for the television network. The CDN services specifically cover Telecinco's "Big Brother", "Pop Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars" online broadcasts.
