Spectra Logic Trumpets Strong Dedup, Backup Demand

Boulder-based Spectra Logic, a manufacturer of tape and disk-based backup and storage products, said today that it had what it described as a "record-setting" quarter for its disk-based backup and deduplication appliances. The firm said it saw strong, double-digit, year over year growth for those products. Actual financial results were not released by the privately held firm. The firm said it had profits for its fiscal second quarter and second half 2010, which ended December 31st. Spectra Logic did not give any actual numbers or details on its growth.
