Cymphonix Names Marketing VP, Swaps CEO

Salt Lake City-based Cymphonix announced Wednesday that it has appointed John Yoon as Senior Vice President of Marketing at the company. Yoon joins the firm from Control4, where he was VP of Marketing. Yoon has also served at Paradigm Medical Industries, 3Com, U.S. Robotics, Ericsson, and General Electric. In a related move, Cymphonix said that it has promoted Brent Nixon to President and CEO of the firm. Nixon replaces Kevin Santiago, who is now listed only as a founder at the firm; no reasons for the switch was given. Cymphonix is a developer of deep packet scanning, web security hardware.
