DigitalGlobe In New Imaging Deal With Microsoft
Longmont, Colorado-based DigitalGlobe, a provider of high resolution aerial and satellite imagery, said Thursday that it has signed a deal with Microsoft to distribute high-resolution, 30-cm aerial imagery through Microsoft's Bing Maps service as well as through DigitalGlobe. The deal covers the U.S. and Western Europe. DigitalGlobal said the effort--which it bills the Clear30 program--will use a large format, digital aerial camera manufactured by Microsoft subsidiary Vexcel Imaging GmbH.
