Footnote.com To Publish U.S. Census Data
Lindon, Utah-based Footnote.com, an online site providing access to historical documents and archives, announced this morning that it is in the midst of digitizing and creating a searchable database of all publicly available U.S. Federal Censuses since 1790 until 1930. The firm said the effort is through a partnership with The National Archives. The census includes names, ages, naturalization dates, and immigration information. According to Footnote, the data will also be used to tie in other records on the site. Footnote.com said it already has completed census collections from 1930 and 1860.
