EPIC Ventures Shuffles Managing Directors
Salt Lake City-based venture capital firm EPIC Ventures announced Thursday that it has named Christopher Stone as a Managing Director at the firm. The venture capital firm is an affiliate of Zions Bank. Stone has served as an EVP/Vice Chairman at Novell, ran Novell's Venture Fund, and also served at Data General (now EMC). Stone has also been actively involved in defining the CORBA industry standard, which is used heavily in enterprise software efforts for application data exchange. In a related move, EPIC Ventures said that Managing Director Todd Stevens has stepped down from Managing Director to serve as Venture Partner, in order to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family. The firm said Stevens will continue to be involved in deal flow, portfolio monitoring, and fund-raising at the firm.
