Qwest Names New COO

Denver-based telecom provider Qwest Communications said today that it has named Teresa A. Taylor as its Chief Operating Officer, replacing Thomas E. Richards, who has left the firm to become President and COO of CDW Corporation. Taylor has been EVP of Qwest's Business Markets Group since August of 2008, and has been at Qwest since 2000. She has also served at US WEST, and is co-chair of Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter's Jobs Cabinet. Christopher Ancell has been promoted at EVP of Business Markets Group, replacing Taylor; Ancell was previously VP of Sales for BMG.
