OneRiot Raises $7.0M
Boulder-based OneRiot, a developer of real-time search tools, has landed $7.0M in a Series C funding round the firm confirmed late Thursday. The round was led by Appian Ventures, and also included backing by other existing investors Commonwealth Capital, and Spark Capital. The firm has also previously gotten funding from Brad Feld and Elon Musk. OneRiot's real time search tools uses information from browser add-ons, Twitter, and other real-time web sources to highlight hot topics, links, and other information for web searchers. The company said the new funding will go to further enhance its core search product and to support its partner network. The firm recently launched a new feature, RiotFeeds, which pinpoints and retweets breaking stories and news on specific topics. The funding was first revealed through a regulatory filing Thursday morning. More information »
