Cluster Resources Renames Itself Adaptive Computing
Provo, Utah-based Cluster Resources, a developer of software used to manage high performance computing (HPC) and cloud computing deployment, announced this week that it has renamed itself as Adaptive Computing. The firm said the new name and brand identity will help it move into the commercial data center market. Cluster Resources has been focused on the HPC market, with the firm saying it has wins at 12 of the world's 20 largest HPC installations. The firm said its automation software is now being applied to commercial data center application support and virtual machine management. The company said it will continue to use the Cluster Resources brand as a business unit focused on the HPC market, with its Adaptive Computing unit focused on commercial data centers.
