NSA Targets Utah For Giant Data Center
The National Security Agency is looking to build a major data center in Utah, according to a report today in the Salt Lake Tribune, with plans to build up to 1 million square feet of data center space in Camp Williams on a 200-acre site. According to the Tribune, the data center is being funded by $181M in a war spending bill recently signed by President Obama, and may bring as many as 1200 high tech jobs to the area. The secretive NSA provides signals intelligence and other services to the intelligence community.
