Mocapay Unveils App for iPhone

Boulder-based mobile payment platform publisher Mocapay revealed Tuesday that it has launched an application for iPhone owners. The Boulder, Colo.-based firm explained that merchants with existing plastic gift card programs can use Mocapay's iPhone app, which is available at Apple's iTunes Web site, to pay for items, see their account balance, reload their card, and more. Mocapay said the addition of the new functionality means that consumers can now access its services via text (SMS), mobile Web browser (WAP), and the iPhone app. Mocapay added that it plans to introduce a similar application for select BlackBerry models in the next quarter.
