Pearson Buys Firm

Publisher Pearson said today that the firm has acquired the National Transcript Center (NTC), a provider of electronic transcript and student record exchange services, and combined the firm with Salt Lake City-based Edustructures, the firm's unit which handles electronic interchange products for the education market. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. NTC was acquired by Pearson from Austin, Texas-based ESP Solutions Group.
