Celio Gets Win In Memphis
Celio Corp. revealed Tuesday that it has sold 1,200 of its flagship REDFLY devices to the Memphis (Tenn.) Police Department. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. According to Celio, the Memphis Police Department installed the REDFLY devices as an alternative to in-car laptops. The REDFLY is a smartphone terminal with a larger screen and keyboard than a handheld PDA. The device links to a smartphone via a USB cable or wireless Bluetooth connection. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Celio Corp. is a privately held company backed by vSpring Capital.
