C7 Data Centers Adds VMware Hosting
Salt Lake City-based C7 Data Centers said today that the firm has launched a new service based on the VMware virtual infrastructure platform. The new offering will provide dedicated server environments running on VMware's virtual machines. C7 said the new service will be called C7-VirtualEdge, and gives its customers the ability to reduce their IT costs and deployment time. VMware is used by companies to create "virtual" PCs and servers which are not dependent on hardware, making more efficient use of available hardware and reducing need to buy new servers.
