Rebit Inks Hammer as First Euro Distributor

Longmont, Colo.-based Rebit Inc., a manufacturer of external data backup systems for computer users, revealed Tuesday that it has signed Hammer PLC as its first European distributor. As a result of the deal, Rebit said, Hammer is already offering Rebit's appliance and related software to channel partners in Europe. Rebit said Hammer exclusively distributes storage devices—the company does not supply other types of computer hardware. Rebit added that its data backup solution is compatible with Windows Vista and XP and requires no setup other than a USB connection to the PC. Founded in 1991, Hammer is a privately held company headquartered in Basingstoke, England.
